Mt. Diablo Village offers fun programs and caring support, creating a vibrant, connected community where adults 55+ in Walnut Creek can thrive while aging in place.

Launch Party was a Blast!

Mt. Diablo Village thrives in bringing vitality and vibrancy in the aging process. We also provide services by our vetted volunteers. We believe health span is important as we age. It’s also comforting to know that help and resources are readily available when we need them. This is what the Village Movement is about. Stay connected. Be supported. Join us.

Bortin Hall at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church was filled with energy and excitement at our Launch Party on February 25, 2026. Some of the guests submitted their membership and volunteer application forms on the spot. Thank you! Our own Walnut Creek Mayor Kevin Wilk was there to give us a word of encouragement while State Assembly Member Rebecca Bauer Kahan sent Field Representative Cherise Khaund there to present a Certification of Recognition to us. Cherise has been supportive of our program and has attended some of our events.

Concord City Council Member Carlyn Obringer, San Ramon City Council Member Marisol Rubio as well as the Village Movement California's Board Chair Kate Hoepke were also present to celebrate our milestone progress with us. We are humbled and grateful for their support.

Here are some of the pictures taken at the event to help us remember the good time we had. Let us continue to make friends and continue to strengthen our health span.
